  • Prior knowledge and experience of configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network hardware, specifically routers and switches, prior knowledge and experience of configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting OSPF & BGP dynamic routing protocols is an essential aspect to this role.
  • Please note a full valid driving license is essential for this role, and the successful applicant will be required to join a standby scheme in order to provide support for scheduled maintenance and planned work, but also, as required, at very short notice when actively troubleshooting ongoing faults which are service impacting.
  • Associate Cisco or Juniper accreditation is essential.

To drive the role forward, the individual will be responsible for the engineering provision, development, management, and maintenance of Sure IP/MPLS networks, broadband BNGs, broadband RADIUS platform, DDoS protection and related systems and platforms. The successful individual will also propose and develop appropriate operational, maintenance and provisioning procedures to ensure the reliability of the above networks meets customer needs and service levels.

Please note the successful applicant will be required to join a callout rota in order to provide out of hours cover that includes nights, weekends and Bank Holidays. This role also requires a willingness to work unsociable hours both as part of the standby scheme and for scheduled maintenance and planned work, but also, as required, at very short notice when actively troubleshooting ongoing faults which are service impacting.
