IP Network Engineer - Guernsey

We are looking to recruit an IP Network Engineer in Guernsey working 37.5 hours per week.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the engineering provision, development, management, and maintenance of Sure IP/MPLS networks, broadband BNGs, DDoS protection and related systems and platforms. The role will involve proposing and developing appropriate operational, maintenance and provisioning procedures to ensure the reliability of the above networks meets customer needs and service levels.

Candidates will portray our Company values, and will ideally have prior knowledge and experience of configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network hardware, including routers and switches. It is also highly desired for candidates to have prior knowledge and experience of OSPF & BGP dynamic routing principles, MPLS, L2VPN (point-to-point, VPLS), L3VPNs, and traffic-engineering but training can be provided. Candidates must have a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels, a willingness to learn, and the ability to produce accurate, good quality work.

Please note a full valid driving license is essential for this role.  

Please note the successful applicants will be required to join a standby scheme in order to provide support for scheduled maintenance and planned work, but also, as required, at very short notice when actively troubleshooting ongoing faults which are service impacting.
